Bondz is a urethane modified acrylic bonding primer that bonds any topcoat to hard, dense surfaces. It has exceptional flow and leveling, and may be used on interior or exterior surfaces, including fiberglass awnings and garage doors, tile, glazed block and brick, non-ferrous metals, drywall, masonry, glass, paneling, painted or unpainted wood, and mildly chalky surfaces.
Use on interior and exterior surfaces for maximum adhesion over: building material plastics including PVC sheeting & piping, vinyl, laminated Formica cabinets, fiberglass awnings and garage doors, tile, glazed block and brick, non-ferrous metals such as aluminum doors and window frames, aluminum flashing and trim, galvanized steel, glossy oil-base/enamel paints, drywall, masonry, glass, paneling, painted or unpainted wood, and mildly chalky surfaces. Topcoat with any topcoat, including: oil-base, water-base, urethane, epoxy and lacquer topcoats
Apply between 36°F and 90°F (2°C and 32°C), RH < 85%.
Shake or stir well and apply using synthetic brush, roller or sprayer (follow spray equipment manufacturer’s instructions; for airless spraying use .017 tip at 2000 - 2500 P.S.I.)
Can be tinted with up to 2 oz. (59 ml) of universal colorant per gallon to improve the hiding power of the topcoat.
Thinning of this product is not recommended.
Dries to the touch in 30 minutes. May be lightly sanded and/or topcoated after 2 hours. For two part epoxies, wait 6 hours before topcoating. Optimal benefits of BONDZ are achieved when topcoated within 7 days when it has reached full hardness and scrape resistance (depending on temperature, humidity and film thickness.)
Approx. 400 sq. ft. (37m2) per gallon depending on application method and surface porosity.
Not recommended for application to floors, decks, surfaces subject to immersion or prolonged contact with water or below grade applications. Not recommended for use on polyethylene, polypropylene, or nylon.
